Maraka Sthana and Maraka Planets in your Astrological Chart – Maraka means death & Sthan means place or house in your astrological chart. So the houses in your astrological chart which causes death or death type suffering is called Maraka Sthana in your astrological birth chart.

In astrology, 2nd & 7th houses are called maraka Sthana & these two houses signlords are called Maraka Planets in your astrological birth chart.

Why 2nd & 7th houses are called Maraka Sthana & their signlord planets are called Maraka Planets causes you or give you death type of suffering?

12th house from (8th house) = 12th house from (longevity or lifespan)

=> 7th house =  loss of longevity or lifespan

=> 7th house = death

Hence, 7th house is called MARAKA STHANA & it’s signlord planet is called MARAKA planet in astrology which causes you or give you death type suffering.

Now, as we know that 8th house represents your longevity , now count 8th houses your birth chart 8th house, you’ll get only 3rd house. So as per bavat bhavam concept, 3rd house is called bhavat bhavam of 8th house means higher form of 8th house significant attributes.

So, astrological birth chart houses attributes wise

3rd house = bhavat bhavam of 8th house

=> 3rd house = higher form of 8th house

=> 3rd  = longevity or lifespan

=> 12th house from ( 3rd house ) = 12th house from (longevity or lifespan)

=> 2nd house = loss of longevity or lifespan

=> 2nd house = death
